Wednesday Worship Piece: Benediction

Here’s a brief piece–a benediction we will use this week as we reflect on the story of the Exodus:

Go out into the world to join God in the work of love, of peace, of justice. Take in the breath of life. Take off your shoes. Know that you are ever in the presence of the Holy and Living God. Go in peace. Amen.

*And also a note for those interested: One of the reasons I have been posting a bit less on this blog lately is that I am working on worship material for Leader magazine for Summer 2012.  It’s a lot of fun and a lot of work.  Of course, I can’t post the material I’m writing for them, and some days I’m just about liturgied out.
