Wow! There is a lot of good stuff in this Sunday’s Revised Common Lectionary readings! I’ve posted links to several previous worship pieces below. (You may note that they are quite Beatitudes heavy, which I guess is not surprising for a Mennonite.) The new piece I’ve written for this week focuses on what is maybe the least “sexy” of the RCL passages this week, Psalm 15.
We long to abide in the tent of the Divine,
To dwell on the hill of the Holy One.
We long to be fully present with God
in this time and space
Where God is fully present with us.
In this space of worship,
Let us speak truth
And receive truth.
Let us honor those who honor God,
And let us be those who honor God.
In this time of worship,
Let us remember the commitments we have made
And receive strength to stand by them.
Let us join together in worship.
Other worship pieces for this week’s RCL readings:
• Call to Worship based on Micah 6:6-8
• Children’s Time based on Matthew 5:1-12
• Prayer of Confession based on Matthew 5:1-12
• Offertory Prayer based on Matthew 5:1-12
• Sermon based on Matthew 5:1-12
Friendly Note: This Friday I will be sending out monthly journal pages and the link to the February worship resource page to all of my Patreon subscribers. Which means that today is a great day to sign up!
