Acts 4:31-37 Call to Worship

At Peace Mennonite, we are doing a worship series on the book of Acts. I won’t be preaching this coming Sunday. (I’ll be out of town doing a wedding at a winery near Lake of the Ozarks. This pastor thing can be rough.) I am, however, putting together the order of worship. And this is what we’ve got for the Call:

Leader: As early followers of Jesus gathered
Side 1: for fellowship and worship,
Side 2: praying and singing and reading the scriptures,
All: so we gather this morning.
Leader: We read in Acts that the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul.
Side 1: One heart.
Side 2: One soul.
Leader: They shared everything–
Side 1: everything they owned,
Side 2: everything they had.
Leader: God’s grace was at work in them,
Side 1: powerfully at work
Side 2: within them all.
Leader: There was not a needy person among them.
All: May it be so for us as well. Amen.
