Here are the prayers we will use this week for our hymn sing worship service. Blessings to you all as you plan, lead, and live worship this week–and beyond.
Call to Worship (from Psalm 63:1-5)
You, God, are our God,
earnestly we seek you;
we thirst for you,
we long for you with our whole selves.
We are like drought-cracked earth
desperately hoping for rain.
We have seen you in this place, with these people,
seen your power and your glory.
Your love is better than life,
and so we glorify you;
as long as we live, we praise you;
with our voices and our bodies, we praise you.
You fill and fulfill us here at this table,
and so we sing our thanks and praise to you. Amen.
Sending Prayer (from Psalm 63:6-7):
As we leave this place, O God, we will still remember you.
We will think of you through the night,
knowing that you are with us, that you are our help.
And so we keep singing.
We will sing in the shadow of your wings.
Today. Every day. Amen.
