Every Day

“One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture and, if possible, speak a few reasonable words.” – Goethe

I can’t think of a better way to start the week than by taking Goethe’s advice to heart.  I’m thoroughly enchanted with autumn this year, so I have enjoyed the song, poem, and picture below.

A little song: Vivalidi’s Four Seasons-Autumn

A good poem: “Besides the autumn poets sing” by Emily Dickinson

A fine picture: Stacks of Wheat (End of Day, Autumn) by Claude Monet

A few reasonable words: “The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. / The world and all who live in it.” (Psalm 24)
